| Abstract Catalogue Search | Help |
|
Using the Abstract Catalogue search has been made as
intuitive as possible for the average user. We have even tried
to take out as much of the guess work as possible by providing
simple point and click features where ever possible.
As you navigate the Trudell Medical International (TMI) web site you will notice that the site is broken down into specific sections to help the individual find the information they are looking for quickly and accurately. As you enter each section of the site you may notice that the left hand navigation allows you to break down information by product allowing you to get even more granular in the information that you are seeking out. Abstract Search: The Abstract Search takes this process even one step further. When you have chosen the section that pertains most to what you are looking for and then the product that most interests you, you will notice a primary navigation menu and a secondary navigation menu. This secondary navigation menu is unique to each product page(s). One particular menu item is labelled "Abstracts" which when clicked provides a complete listing of all the abstracts available in the TMI database that relates to that specific product. Each Abstract listing provides you with the Abstract Title, Authors and a short synopsis of the abstract itself. By clicking on the title that most interests you; that abstract will open in a secondary window where you may read the complete details of that abstract. Abstracts are listed in chronologically descending order (most current abstracts listed first). If you find that there are to many abstracts to sift through to find the specific one you are looking for you can take the process one step further. When on a specific product page and you wish to do an Abstract Search you can use the search box found just below the left hand navigation window to provide more details of the information you are looking for in the abstracts database. In this example we have previewed the AeroChamber Plus* VHC product home page and have decided to search for any abstracts that may contain information about its use with infants. By typing in infants and pressing Enter É you have now changed the search to look at all Abstracts that contain AeroChamber Plus* VHC and contain the word infant in either the Title of the Abstract or the Abstract body itself. You can also search for specific authors of an Abstract for a particular product. Once located on a product page that you are interested in finding out more information for; simply locate the abstract search box on the left hand navigation pane just below the left hand navigation menus type in an Authors name Such as Newhouse and press Enter É . All of the abstracts for AeroChamber Plus* VHC that have Newhouse as an author will be displayed in the search results. If you are looking for search results that are not tied to a specific product page you can simply initiate a search while on a section landing page or from any non-product specific page. In this example we will navigate to the healthcare professionals main (landing) page and initiate a search from the search box at the left. Lets type in an author's last name again, Mitchell and press Enter É . The search results that come back are all Abstracts that the author was involved with regardless of the product and again will be displayed in chronologically descending order. Thank you for taking the time to search the TMI Abstract Database. |

TMI Web site Search |
Help |

Using TMI's web site search engine is
meant to be easy and accurate. You can access the web sites'
search engine any where in the TMI web site by locating the search
engine query box in the left hand navigation pane just below the
left hand navigation menu. In the web site search engine text
box enter your search phrase and press If you would like to make your search more specific you can do a Boolean search. By Boolean we mean that you can use "ANDs" or "ORs" as a way of narrowing or adding additional pieces of information to the outcome. In our example we are going to look for aerokat and aerodawg or aeromask. The Boolean operators that we are using to improve upon our search is AND and OR. The results will be everything that matches aerokat and aerodawg or aeromask. To search for an exact phrase you simply place your search into double quotes both at the beginning and end of the phrase and the search engine will treat it as an Exact Phrase. In this example we will search for the phrase AeroChamber MAX. By placing the phrase in double quotes "AeroChamber MAX" the search engine will look for each instance the exactly matches the words in the quotes. Thank you for taking the time to search the TMI web site. |
